According to Sneaker News, the LeBron 18 variant will feature a hybrid GOAT and basketball logo on the insoles and on the tongue of the shoes. For those not in the know, this is basically Nike approving James as the Greatest of All Time.

Aside from the said logo, the Black/Pale and Ivory shoes also have the Spanish words “la cabra,” “campeona” and “mejor ganadar”–which means “the goat,’ “champion” and “the best winner.” If that’s not enough to show what Nike and the Lakers star want to say, then we’re not sure what else is.Interestingly, this came out after LeBron James and the Lakers were eliminated by the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs. The team from Nike was probably planning to launch it some time during the playoffs, possibly closer to the Finals given expectations that LA would repeat this season.

Unfortunately, injuries and other on-court issues doomed the Purple and Gold’s chances to advance deeper in the postseason. With Anthony Davis dealing with a groin injury and LeBron looking really tired, Devin Booker, Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton totally dominated and saw no strong response from the defending champions.
