Common flannel fleece blanket Suppliers blanket types
Not all blankets are created equal, and some are better for you than others. Quilts, duvets, comforters, and weighted blankets are the most common options you'll come across. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.

weighted blanket
A weighted blanket is a quilt that is filled with heavy stuff (sometimes in addition to softer stuffing) to add weight. Heavier fillers can be plastic granules, glass beads, or rice grains. These blankets can weigh anywhere from 5 pounds to 30 pounds.

The weight of the blanket has a soothing and calming effect, similar to being hugged, a phenomenon known as "deep pressure stimulation." Weighted blankets have been shown to help children with autism and anxious adults relax and sleep better.

Quilt
Quilts, also known as bedspreads or bedspreads, are probably the most popular type of blanket in North America.

It is a thick blanket filled with synthetic fibers or down (or, less commonly, wool or cotton), and is quilted to ensure the filling is evenly distributed throughout the blanket. Quilts come in a variety of colors and patterns that you can choose to match the decor of your room.

duvet cover
Duvets, also called bedspreads, are similar to quilts (and sometimes quilts) in that they are thick blankets filled with fluffy material and quilted to distribute the filling.

Like quilts, duvets can be filled with synthetic fibers, down, feathers, or wool. The main difference between the two is that a quilt is a patterned blanket that can be seen, while a duvet is plain white and is placed inside a duvet cover to protect it. The great thing about a duvet is that it can change the decor of a room just by putting on a new cover.

Also, you don't have to wash your duvet as often as you would a quilt because you can wash the duvet cover regularly. On the other hand, some people hate dealing with duvet covers and prefer to throw machine-washable comforters in the washing machine along with other bedding.
