Ignition time control can be divided into two stages. The first stage is the ignition time control when starting, and the second stage is the ignition time control after starting.
1.Ignition time control when starting. When starting the engine, due to the extremely unstable speed and intake of airflow, it is difficult for the ECU to determine the best ignition timing through calculations. Therefore, ignition is often performed at a fixed ignition timing (initial ignition advance angle). The advance angle generally does not exceed 10°.
2.Ignition time control after starting. ECU determines the basic ignition advance angle according to the engine speed and load signal, and corrects it according to other signals to determine the actual ignition advance angle, and outputs an ignition signal to the electronic ignition controller. The ignition timing at this time consists of three parts:
Ignition timing = initial ignition timing + basic ignition timing + corrected ignition timing.
