The expanded barrage means a much wider spread of poison projectiles, covering more area and increasing the odds of being hit. Crouch jumping over the first orb still works, but the margin for error becomes razor-thin. Even experienced players may need to use defensive skills, shields, or magic to absorb the attack and retaliate.

Group coordination is key for taking this monster down. Have one party member draw aggro while others land precision shots or magic attacks. Buffing your party's poison resistance beforehand can also be a lifesaver.
