HoYoverse has officially announced the time and date for the upcoming Special Program for that first update to its newest RPG, Honkai: Star Rail. The release from the Honkai Impact 3rd spinoff saw massive success for that Genshin Impact developer following its debut recently, quickly amassing an incredible number of players and seeing huge numbers throughout its first couple of weeks. The sci-fi RPG already features several worlds for players to understand more about with a cast of over 20 playable characters offered by launch. Now, the developer is gearing up for that new game's initial update.

The Genshin Impact developer's first Special Program following Honkai: Star Rail's launch will appear to follow the popularity set by its predecessors in Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd. Each new update to Genshin Impact possesses its own "Special Program" live broadcast featuring both personnel and voice actors debuting additional features and characters. The developer similarly aired a "Boarding Preparation" stream before Star Rail's debut, introducing many from the game's launch characters and locales before its release. Now, Version 1.1 looks to create even more content for the popular RPG.

Honkai: Star Rail officially announced the upcoming Version 1.1 Special Program, revealing the broadcast for later this week. The Special Program for Honkai: Star Rail's first post-launch update is scheduled to air Friday, May 26th at 7:30 AM Eastern Time, the typical timeslot for HoYoverse live streams. The post also revealed the title for Star Rail's Version 1.1 update, introducing the brand new patch with "Galactic Roaming" since its name. Much like Genshin Impact's Primogem rewards, the livestream will probably come with Stellar Jade codes peppered through the presentation.

While HoYoverse hasn't fully debuted the upcoming update yet, leaks have teased several what's in the future in Version 1.1. A recent post would reveal adding a chat feature to Honkai: Star Rail with Version 1.1, with Star Rail, currently lacking an in-game messaging system. Leaked character lineups also have given an idea of what characters might be coming in the new update with Silver Wolf, Luocha, and Yukong teased as new additions. All three characters have featured prominently in the currently released story of Honkai: Star Rail.

The upcoming update to Honkai: Star Rail will appear to build around the success the sport has already seen throughout both its pre-release campaign and it is launch patch. Star Rail would smash records set by Genshin Impact throughout the weeks leading up to the RPG's release, amassing over ten million pre-registered users.
