Few encounters in Borderlands 4 test your precision like Shadowpelt, the stealthy predator hiding within the mines of Kairos. Unlike other bosses that overwhelm you with sheer firepower, Shadowpelt challenges your ability to Borderlands 4 Boosting track, anticipate, and strike an enemy that spends most of the fight cloaked in invisibility. Guns alone won't win this fight - accuracy, timing, and patience are just as important as raw damage. Having enough Borderlands 4 Money can help you a lot.

Whether you're tackling Shadowpelt as part of the Whistler's Maw dungeon or revisiting it later when it reappears as a weekly encore boss, preparation is key. This guide covers where to find Shadowpelt, how to handle its invisible mechanics and moveset, and what rewards you can expect after victory.

Where to Find Shadowpelt

Shadowpelt lurks in the Whistler's Maw abandoned Auger mine, located in the Cuspid Climb region. The mine itself is a dungeon packed with enemies, traps, and winding passages. Although the boss arena sits at the dungeon's end, reaching it requires some exploration.

When you enter the first chamber, look for a broken ladder. Climb it, then turn left into a narrow tunnel. Follow the path until you encounter a wall blocked by two stacked wooden crates. Break the crates to reveal a hidden crawlspace that leads deeper into the dungeon.

The next room introduces waves of manglers, which you'll need to clear before continuing. Once the area is safe, head northwest. Eventually, you'll reach a cavern with a massive frozen rock in the center. Use your backpack glide to land on the rock, then grapple to the upper ledge.

From this vantage point, glide south toward a platform illuminated by a red glow. Break open the vent tunnel nearby, and you'll arrive in a small room with vending machines - the final checkpoint before the arena. Stock up here, because once you pass through the next gate, Shadowpelt awaits.

Shadowpelt's Moveset

Shadowpelt's mechanics are simple on paper, but its invisibility shield makes every attack more threatening. The fight revolves around reading its tells, conserving your dashes, and unleashing damage during the brief windows when its shield drops.

Here are its core attacks:

Single Electric Sphere

Shadowpelt charges an orb of electricity at the tip of its tail and hurls it toward your location. Even when cloaked, you can see the glow of the orb forming. Wait until the projectile is launched before dashing aside, as it explodes on impact and deals AoE damage.

360° Sphere Wave

Leaping to a vantage point, Shadowpelt releases a circular burst of electric spheres in every direction. Its body is always at the center of the attack, making this move one of the best ways to track its position. You can avoid the wave by Borderlands 4 Boost jumping at the right moment or standing at range to slip between gaps in the spread.
